Annual Update from the Board

A look back at 2019 and 2020

In this video, F. R. Bigelow Foundation Board Chair Paul Williams and Terri Thao, incoming Board Chair, talk to Senior Vice President of Community Impact Pahoua Yang Hoffman about the work of the F. R. Bigelow Foundation and how it has adapted to the events of 2020.

Highlights from the Year

Paul and Terri both share highlights from their recent work, including being responsive to emerging needs in the community and impact investing.

When asked for advice on how people can make an impact, Paul said, “One, you got to show up. And I think in that engagement, and in that showing up, are the roots of some different kinds of working together. It’s about community voice and we're certainly hearing community voice. You cannot build strong communities and vibrant communities without community voice.”

As Paul steps down from serving as Board Chair, Terri will step into that role. Looking forward, Terri says, “Certainly we have our challenges ahead of us here in the East Metro, but I am really thrilled to be a part of this, to be supporting the amazing work that our communities are doing and our nonprofits are doing day in and day out to respond to the needs that are happening on the ground.”
